In this article, we will show you how you can update your guest data through an import.
For a bulk update, the import always requires the booking code to assign the data to the respective guest. The possibilities are best illustrated by an example.
Example
Let's assume you've already created a guest list with some guests. Your goal is to change the company name of some guests and also add a new field that so far only exists in your Excel table.
Before you can import your updated list, you need to ensure that the booking code is available for each guest. Afterwards, you can modify the Excel file as you wish and prepare it for import.
In this example, I have changed the company name of 4 guests to AirLST and added the new field Re-Import Field. This field contains integers.
It is important to also create the new field in the AirLST guest list. If this is forgotten, the data from the field will be ignored during the import.
The name does not necessarily have to be the same, as you can still change the assignment during the import. However, there should definitely be a field prepared that can accommodate the data.
Now you can import the file. Here, I have simply copied and pasted the data from the Excel file.
If the column headers match those in your guest list, the columns will be automatically recognized and assigned to the correct fields. In this example, the newly created field Re-Import Field will also be recognized. You also have the option to change the target field before the import.
The import process can take some time for large guest lists. You will be notified once the import is complete. After the import, the guest data will be updated accordingly.
