This article explains how to find a primary guest together with their companions in the seating chart, view their assignment in the detail view, and identify companions in the guest list.
SEARCH FOR PRIMARY GUESTS AND COMPANIONS
The search in the seating chart takes the relationship between primary guests and companions into account.
- Open your event’s seating chart.
- Enter a name in the search field - even part of the name is enough.
- The results list also shows a primary guest’s companions and vice versa.
Example: Searching for “Kohout” returns Adele Kohout and her companion Maya Reichert.
FIELDS IN THE DETAIL VIEW
You can display two fields in the detail view (hover):
| Field | Display |
|---|---|
| Companions | For the primary guest: the names of all companions, separated by commas |
| Primary guest | For a companion: the name of the associated primary guest |
| Note: This allows you to check the assignment directly in the seating chart without having to switch to the guest list. |
COMPANIONS IN THE GUEST LIST (+N BADGE)
In the seating chart’s guest list, a primary guest’s row displays a “+N” badge with the number of their companions, for example “Axel Milberg +1”.
- Open the guest list in the seating chart.
- A primary guest is displayed with their name followed by the “+N” badge.
- Move the mouse pointer over the badge to display the names of the companions.
| Note: Companion rows show a reference to their primary guest, for example “Judith Milberg → (Axel Milberg)”. |
| Note: This lets you see at a glance whether and whom a primary guest is bringing, and helps prevent related guests from being accidentally separated when placing them. |
