With the AirLST Suite, you can easily offer closed documents (e.g., PDFs, JPGs, PNGs) for download on your landing page.
Either as a hyperlink within the text or as a button.
You upload the file once in an email template, copy the automatically generated S3 link, and then use it on the landing page.
USE CASE
You want to provide participants on your landing page with content such as:
- Agenda as a PDF
- Directions map as a JPG
- Terms and conditions as a PDF
- Privacy notices as a PDF
- Promotional material / handouts / presentations
STEP-BY-STEP
UPLOAD FILE AND GENERATE THE DOWNLOAD LINK
- Open an email template (only as an “upload helper”)
Open any email template within the event and click Edit to open the editor.
Note: This template does not necessarily have to be changed. We are only using it here to upload the file and obtain the link.
- Use the link icon in the editor and upload the file
Place the cursor inside a text element in the email editor. Open the link icon in the editor's toolbar.
Choose not “URL,” but “Link file”.
Upload the file from your file manager (e.g., PDF/JPG/PNG).
- Copy and save the S3 link
After the upload, select the uploaded file. AirLST automatically generates a link (S3 bucket URL). Copy this link. It’s best to save it immediately in an open text document (e.g., Notepad/Notes) so it is not lost.
- Cancel the upload process (do not save changes)
Since you only used the email template as an upload workflow:
You can now cancel and not save the changes to the email template.
STEP-BY-STEP
USE THE LINK ON THE LANDING PAGE
Option A: As a hyperlink in the text
Open the landing page editor and the target module.
Select the text (e.g., “Download agenda”).
Insert the previously copied S3 link as the link. Save / publish.
Option B: As a button
Open the landing page editor and the target module.
Insert a button or edit an existing one.
Set the copied S3 link as the target URL. Save / publish.
BEST PRACTICE
Test:
Afterwards, open the landing page in a new window and test the download end-to-end.
