This article explains how to manage the domain of your Event App.
DEFAULT DOMAIN
Each Event App automatically receives a default domain in the format your-event.airlst-event-app.com. It is ready to use immediately and requires no additional configuration.
VIEW DOMAIN SETTINGS
1. Open Event App > Setup > Access.
2. In the "Domain settings" section, you can see the currently connected domain and the status ("Domain ready").
USE A CUSTOM DOMAIN
If you want your Event App to be accessible under your own domain (e.g. event.your-company.com), proceed as follows:
1. Open Event App > Setup > Access.
2. In the "Domain" field, replace the default domain with your own domain.
3. Click Resync domain.
4. The "Set up custom domain" wizard opens with five steps, whose status updates automatically:
| Step | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1. Domain saved | Your entered domain has been saved |
| 2. Domain synchronized | The domain has been added to our system and is ready for DNS setup |
| 3. DNS configuration | You create a DNS A record with your domain provider |
| 4. SSL certificate | Issued automatically as soon as the DNS record is correct |
| 5. Domain active | The Event App is accessible under your own domain |
5. Log in to your domain provider (e.g. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, IONOS) and create a DNS A record pointing to XX.XX.XX.XX.
6. Wait for the DNS record to propagate – this usually takes 5 to 30 minutes, but in some cases can take up to 48 hours.
7. Then click Update status to recheck steps 3 to 5. The SSL certificate for your domain will then be issued automatically, without you needing to do anything else.
| Note: Until step 5 is complete, your Event App will also remain accessible under the original default domain. |
TEST THE DOMAIN
Open the link next to the domain field to check the Event App directly in a new tab before sharing it with participants.
