This article explains how the guest list behaves while multiple users are working in it and when you should refresh the view.
REQUIREMENTS
Before you start, you need:
- Access to the event's guest list
YOUR VIEW REMAINS UNCHANGED
If another user performs a bulk update in your event while you are working in the same guest list, the following remain unchanged:
- Your open guest edit
- Your applied filters
- Your sorting
- Your scroll position
The list does not refresh automatically during this process.
MULTIPLE USERS AT THE SAME TIME
An ongoing action or bulk update does not lock the guest list for the other users of the event. Each person can continue working on their own guests in parallel.
|
Important: Avoid editing the same guests at the same time with conflicting changes. |
REFRESHING THE VIEW
While a bulk update is in progress, you will see a notification at the bottom of the screen. As soon as data has changed, the Refresh prompt appears, which you can trigger when it suits you.
| Situation | List behavior |
|---|---|
| A bulk update by another user is in progress | View remains unchanged; the Refresh prompt appears |
| Your own bulk update is complete | List refreshes automatically |
| Your own bulk update, guest open | Editing takes priority; refresh occurs afterward |
| Note: Every normal interaction also loads the latest data. Applying a filter or opening and closing a guest is sufficient. |
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can your view show outdated data?
As long as a bulk update is in progress, your view may temporarily lag behind the current status. The Refresh prompt indicates this.
How can you tell that your own bulk update is complete?
The notification at the bottom of the screen shows the ongoing process. Once it is complete, your list refreshes automatically, provided you do not have a guest open.
