Limits for custom fields
In this article, you will learn how to set limits for dropdown and multi-select fields and display the remaining capacity to your guests.
SCOPE
Limits apply to the fields created in your event.
Specifically, to dropdown and multi-select fields.
Limits are available both for fields with the field property “Individual value for primary guest and companion (guest)” and for fields with the field property “Shared value for primary guest and companion (booking)”.
(For more information about the two field properties, click here.)
|
Note: For a field with the field property “Shared value for primary guest and companion (booking)”, the primary guest and companion receive the same value. In this case, the number of people in the booking is counted towards the limit—that is, the primary guest and all companions together. For a field with the field property “Individual value for primary guest and companion (guest)”, each selection made by the primary guest and companion is counted individually. |
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
- Click “+ Create limit”.
- Select the dropdown field for which you want to set a limit. Fields with both field properties are available for selection—“Individual value for primary guest and companion (guest)” and “Shared value for primary guest and companion (booking)”.
- Enter the desired maximum value in the Limit field. This is the maximum number that should be available for this selection option.
- Specify which guest statuses should be used to calculate the remaining capacity. “Confirmed” is selected by default, but you can adjust this value as needed and also include multiple statuses at the same time.
- Finally, in the registration form and the specific field, determine whether the availability of the selection options should be displayed, e.g. “12 places still available”.
