This article explains how to automatically regenerate the guest code of an existing guest. This is necessary, for example, when a badge or ID card has been lost and the old QR code needs to be invalidated.
PREREQUISITES
An active AirLST event
The role "Company Owner", "Admin", or "Event Manager"
Access to the guest list detail view (Guest Edit Screen)
BASIC CONCEPT
Every guest in AirLST has a unique guest code. This code serves as the basis for QR code tickets, login links, and identification during check-in.
When a badge or ID card is lost, the existing code must be invalidated so that it is no longer recognized when scanned. At the same time, a new code is generated that immediately serves as the valid identification.
Concept
Description
Guest Code
Unique identification code for each guest, the basis for QR tickets and login links.
Change Code
You can have it automatically regenerated.
Old Code Invalidation
The previous code becomes invalid immediately. QR tickets and login links based on it will no longer work.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Navigate to your event and open the guest list.
Click on the desired guest to open the detail view (Edit Screen).
In the edit form, you will find the "Guest Code" field with the current code.
Click the regenerate button.
A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm with "Yes, change code".
The new code is active immediately. Share the new code or QR ticket with the guest.
IMPORTANT NOTES
⚠️ The old guest code becomes invalid immediately. All existing QR code tickets and login links based on the old code will stop working.
ℹ️ Make sure to send the guest the new code or a new QR ticket after the change.
⛔ This action cannot be undone. The old code cannot be restored.
✅ All stored guest data, relationships to guest managers, and other information are fully preserved — only the identification code changes.
