This article explains how to invite guests to your event by email—for each registration type, either manually via the guest list or automatically via an email template.
REQUIREMENTS
Before you start, you need:
The role/permission to manage guests and emails in the AirLST Suite
Guests in your guest list
An email template for your invitation under Messages > Emails > Email templates
THE RIGHT LINK FOR EACH REGISTRATION TYPE
Which link you should include in your invitation depends on your event's registration type. You can find this under Event settings in Registration type. Insert the placeholders in the email editor via Find placeholder (group URLs).

What the guest sees
Invitation only
Landing page URL with code: {{guest.landing_page_url_with_login_code}}
The guest is logged in directly with their booking code and is taken to the registration form.
Important: For “Invitation only,” registration is possible exclusively with the personal booking code. Always use the link with the code here—the guest will not be able to access the form directly via the general link.

What the guest sees
Open and by invitation
Landing page URL with code: {{guest.landing_page_url_with_login_code}}
The guest is logged in, and their registration is assigned to their entry on the guest list.
Note: For “Open and by invitation,” guests can also register via the general link. However, for guests who are already on your guest list, we still recommend using the link with the code so that the registration is clearly assigned to the correct guest.

What the guest sees
One password for everyone
Landing page URL: {{event.centerstage_public_url}} plus the password in the email text
The guest opens the landing page and logs in with the shared password.
Note: For “One password for everyone,” the Suite cannot assign the guest to their entry on your guest list during registration. Personalised content on the landing page is therefore not available.
OPTION A: SEND AN INVITATION VIA “ACTION FOR SELECTION”
This option is suitable if you want to decide yourself when which guests receive the invitation—for example, in several waves.
Open your event's guest list.
Select the desired guests using the checkbox to the left of the name. Use the checkbox next to “#” to select all guests at once.
Click the Action for selection dropdown menu in the top left and select Send email.
Select your invitation template.
Check the personalised preview for individual guests using the list on the right or with Next and Previous.
Send yourself a test email via Send preview and check whether the link works.
Click Send in the bottom right.
Tip: Using filters in the guest list—for example, based on a custom field—you can specifically select a group of guests and invite only them.
OPTION B: SEND AN INVITATION AUTOMATICALLY VIA THE EMAIL TEMPLATE
With this option, you link your invitation template to the guest status Invited. As soon as a guest receives this status, the Suite automatically sends the invitation.
Open Messages > Emails > Email templates.
Click the edit icon for your invitation template.
In the Automated status email field, select the status Invited.
Save the template. Automated templates are identified by the coloured flag in the overview.
Set the status of the guests to be invited to Invited.
Important: The invitation is sent immediately each time the status changes to “Invited”. Therefore, check the template and link with a test guest beforehand, before changing the status for your entire guest list.
Note: For more advanced automations, such as those depending on specific field values, additional options are available under Settings > Workflows. For more information, see the article “What is a workflow and how does it work?”.
