This article explains how to create a payment plan for an accepted quote and track due payments.
REQUIREMENTS
- An accepted quote
CREATE A PAYMENT PLAN
- Open the accepted quote.
- Go to Costs › Payment plan.
- Select a template or create the payments yourself.
- Click Save.
| Template | Breakdown |
|---|---|
| 100% after the event | One payment after the event |
| 30/70 | 30% deposit, 70% remaining balance |
| 30/60/10 | Deposit, interim payment, final payment |
You define each payment as a percentage of the quote, a fixed amount or the remaining balance, in each case with a due date.
SETTLE A PAYMENT
One receipt pays exactly one payment in the plan. For a payment without a receipt, click Record costs. The dialogue is pre-filled with the supplier, trade, quote, payment and amount. For a payment with a receipt, open it by clicking Open receipt.
KEEP TRACK OF DUE PAYMENTS
- You will receive a notification seven days before a payment is due.
- Overdue payments appear as “Payments overdue”.
- Under Planning › Payments in the main navigation, you can see all due and overdue payments for all events.
| Note: In Reporting, the cost history also shows the “Due according to payment plan” line. This lets you see when which amounts will be paid out. |
