In this article, we present all the options available to you in the Email Editor .
Email Editor
If you're unsure how to access the editor view, check out our article on Email Templates!
The stage where you place content blocks and rows during the design process is the area on the left side of the screen.
The sidebar where many of the design elements can be customized is the area on the right side of the screen.
There is an icon that separates the stage and the sidebar (Blue circle with a white arrow). With this icon, you can minimize the sidebar at any time.
The sidebar contains three tabs that assist you in content creation.
General Tab
On the "General" tab, you can set default values for your entire design.
On the "General" tab, you can change the following options:
- Content area width
- Content area alignment
- Background color
- Content area background color
- Default font
- Link color
Row Tab
Rows are the primary structural elements for designs created with the AirLST Email Editor. Within rows, you can adjust the column structure.
With a multi-column row, you can place content side by side in your design. Most importantly, rows serve as containers for all your content blocks.
Rows are structural units that define the horizontal composition of a section of the design using columns. A row can contain between 1 and 6 columns.
If you use more than one column, you can arrange different content elements side by side. You can add all the structural elements you need to your design, regardless of the template you selected at the beginning.
Simply drag and drop them onto the stage.
Content Tab
This section contains a set of tiles representing different types of content you can use in your design.
To use a tile, drag it into a column, and it will automatically adjust to the column width.
Each content block has its own settings, such as granular padding control. The panel on the right side automatically switches to a properties window for the selected content element.
Mobile View
By default, the stage shows how your design will appear on a desktop device. However, you can also use the mobile design mode to create your content. In this mode, a stage is used that simulates the appearance of the design on a mobile device.
To do this, click on the mobile device icon in the top left corner of the editor.
Most changes you make in mobile design mode will be applied to both the desktop and mobile versions. However, some elements are marked with a mobile icon in the sidebar. These settings apply only to the mobile version of your design.
When working in mobile design mode, you can also make changes only to the mobile version. This option is available for only a few design settings. You can recognize these options by the mobile device icon in the sidebar.
In the example below, you can see this icon outlined in red.
When you make changes to one of these design elements, the icon changes to a blue icon. This indicates that you have made changes only to the mobile version of your design.
