This article explains how to create and customize the wallet ticket for the guests of your event.
ABOUT THE WALLET TICKET
The wallet ticket is designed for mobile use and can be saved directly by guests in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
EDITING THE WALLET TICKET
You can customize your wallet ticket under “Tickets & Add-Ons" -> "Ticket Design”.
Enter the desired name for the ticket in the field “Name of the Ticket”.
CUSTOMIZE LOGO
To edit the logo, click directly on the logo in the preview. Then click on the pencil icon to insert a new graphic. Please pay attention to the specified dimensions.
TEXT FIELDS & PERSONALIZATION
Below the logo are the text fields, divided into three rows. Here, you can also use placeholders { } to automatically personalize the ticket.
Note: The label is not customizable and applies uniformly to your entire guest list for the event. The text field with the curly brackets, however, is customizable and will be displayed based on the data stored for each guest.
CUSTOMIZE COLORS
The wallet ticket can be individually styled with colors. You have the option to customize the following colors:
- Text color – color of the personalized text fields
- Label color – color of the label captions
Simply click on “Label color” or “Text color” to make the desired adjustments.
Note: Please note that on iPhones white text may not display correctly if the background color is not dark enough.
CAUSE
This is a known limitation of Apple Wallet. Under certain conditions, the iPhone automatically overrides the font color stored in the pass:
- iOS system design: If Dark Mode is active on the iPhone, it can affect the color behavior of the pass.
- Background color too light: Apple Wallet on iOS independently evaluates whether a background color is "dark enough" to allow white text. If the background color is considered too light, the font color is automatically set to black – regardless of the configured color.
- Mac vs. iPhone: macOS reads the color values directly from the pass file and displays them unchanged. iOS, however, applies its own display rules, which can lead to differing results.
SOLUTION
To ensure that the white font color is displayed correctly on the iPhone, the background color must be dark enough.
Recommendation: Use a background value with a sufficiently low brightness level. As a guideline: The RGB values should be significantly below a medium gray tone overall.
Example of reliably working background colors:
| Color | Hex Value | RGB |
|---|---|---|
| Black | #000000 |
0, 0, 0 |
| Dark Gray | #1A1A1A |
26, 26, 26 |
| Dark Blue | #0D1B2A |
13, 27, 42 |
| AirLST Dark | #262E38 |
38, 46, 56 |
Note: Medium gray or mixed tones (e.g.,
#555555or#7B3F6E) may be evaluated differently depending on the iOS version and system settings and are therefore not reliable.
