This article explains how to create, load, update, and synchronize complete check-in configurations as named profiles across multiple devices.
PREREQUISITES
- Latest version of the AirLST Check-in App (Release 04/26 or later).
- A valid AirLST account with access to the desired event.
- Devices that should share the same profile are signed in with the same account.
OVERVIEW
Check-in Profiles bundle the entire configuration of a check-in setup – from filters to alerts to print settings – under a descriptive name. Instead of configuring each device individually, set up a profile once and load it on as many devices as needed.
Profiles are created per event and can be synchronized across devices. When an active profile is updated, the changes are automatically propagated to all devices using that profile.
|
NOTE Profiles are ideal for mapping multiple admission scenarios per event – e.g. "Main Entry", "VIP Entry", and "Workshop Desk" – and switching between them as needed. |
WHAT IS STORED IN A PROFILE?
| Area | Stored Settings |
|---|---|
| Check-in Filters | Filter groups, conditions, and time windows. |
| Alerts & Notifications | Companion notifications, audio feedback, etc. |
| Updates & Sync | Guest list refresh settings. |
| Printing & Receipts | Configured printers and templates. |
| PIN Protection | PIN activation status (the PIN value itself remains local). |
| Location | Assigned entry position or check-in station. |
HOW TO CREATE A PROFILE
- Open the desired event in the AirLST Check-in App.
- Configure all settings as the profile should be used later (filters, alerts, print, PIN, location).
- Navigate to "Check-in Profiles" in the settings.
- Select "New Profile" and assign a descriptive name (e.g. "VIP Entry – Night 1").
- Confirm to save. The profile is immediately available within the event.
LOADING OR SWITCHING PROFILES
- Open the "Check-in Profiles" section in the app settings.
- Select the desired profile from the list.
- The app automatically adopts the full configuration. Any local settings are replaced by the profile values.
|
NOTE A profile switch is also useful for temporarily serving a different scenario (e.g. "Late Entry") and then switching back to the default profile. |
UPDATING AND SYNCHRONIZING PROFILES
When you modify the active profile, you can save the changes back to the profile. All devices with the same active profile will automatically receive the update. This ensures every check-in station operates consistently – even during last-minute adjustments.
- Update Profile: save current setup changes back into the profile.
- Delete Profile: removes the profile from the event. Active devices fall back to a default configuration.
- Cross-device sync: all devices sharing the same active profile receive changes automatically.
USE CASES
| Scenario | Why Check-in Profiles? |
|---|---|
| Multiple entry stations | One profile per station, centrally maintained – consistent behavior on all devices. |
| Multi-day events | Dedicated profiles per day or session (e.g. "Day 1 – Main", "Day 2 – VIP"). |
| Rotating roles on the same device | Quick profile switch between "Main", "VIP", "Workshop". |
| External entrance teams | Pre-configure profiles and activate on agency devices via login/profile selection. |
LIMITATIONS AND NOTES
- Profiles are scoped per event – a profile from Event A cannot be automatically transferred to Event B.
- For security reasons, the PIN value itself remains local to the device and is not synchronized via the profile.
- For multi-device deployments, we recommend combining Check-in Profiles with PIN Protection and optionally Check-in Only View.
