This article explains how to enable the Check-in Only View in the AirLST Check-in App, which features are available in this mode, and when to use it.
PREREQUISITES
- Latest version of the AirLST Check-in App (Release 04/26 or later).
- A valid AirLST account with access to the desired event and guest list.
OVERVIEW
The Check-in Only View is a restricted app mode that exclusively allows ticket validation via scan. All other features, in particular access to guest lists and guest details are disabled.
This mode is ideal for entrance staff who scan tickets but should not have access to personal guest data. It reduces the attack surface for data privacy incidents and ensures that only the minimum information required for admission is visible.

NOTE The Check-in Only View complements the full scan mode. Organizers, hosts, and supervisors who still need access to guest lists and detail views can continue using the regular mode. |
FEATURE SCOPE
When Check-in Only View is enabled, the following restrictions and automations apply:
- Guest list, search, and guest detail views are not accessible.
- After each scan, only a minimal result screen is shown (status: successful, already checked in, or invalid).
- Auto check-in mode is activated automatically & successful scans are booked as check-ins immediately.
- The companion view (accompanying persons) is available only in limited form and does not display additional guest data.
HOW TO ENABLE CHECK-IN ONLY VIEW
- Open the desired event in the AirLST Check-in App.
- Navigate to the app settings.
- Enable the "Check-in Only View" option.
- Confirm activation. The app switches to the restricted mode immediately.
- Hand the device to the entrance staff. From this point on, only scan and result screen are visible.

NOTE When combined with PIN Protection, the Check-in Only View cannot be deactivated by unauthorized personnel on the device. |

LIMITATIONS AND NOTES
- While Check-in Only View is active, search and list functions are unavailable on the device.
For manual check-ins, temporarily switch back to regular mode. - The setting is device-specific.
Other devices at the same event remain in their selected mode.

WARNING Only deactivate Check-in Only View when the device is back under the control of an authorized person. After leaving the mode, guest data is fully visible again. |
